Doug Britt always dreamed about opening a small, Italian-Themed coffeehouse and roastery where he could finely tune his coffee roasting skills. His hope was to bring to Louisville, KY a unique selection of coffee varietals from around the world, then carefully roasting them to individual specifications to maximize the subtle characteristics of each.

From this dream, "A Coffee Affair," the home of the best specialty roasted green beans was born. No franchise here. Our beans are transformed in small batches several times a week by Doug himself in the LaGrange road cafe, with his artistry and passion for coffee creating a loyal following.

Our "Louisville Blend" brings you the same attention to detail with a post roast made of the following varietals: Brazilian Bourbon (harvested form the highlands of Brazil, famous for it's mild, soft, sweet cup,) Sumatra (classic, bright earth tones,) and Guatemalan (fragrant, aromatic and well-balanced.) The coffees are roasted separately and blended after the roasting process for a more complex flavor profile.
